Lindsay Skipper, Owner & Strolling Violinist
I grew up in a musical family in Raleigh, NC. My passion for the violin took me on tours across the country and overseas in middle school, high school, and college. I eventually settled in Greater Cincinnati in 2013 when my husband became director a college ministry.
I launched Elegant Violin in 2010 after planning my own wedding while juggling a full-time job. I saw exactly where couples were getting stressed and knew I could offer something better. Clear communication, quick answers, and a musician who genuinely understands what couples need while they plan one of the biggest days of their lives.
When I’m not performing, I homeschool my two boys, stay active in the Wedding Industry Professional Association (WIPA), and continue growing a business that was honored with the S.C.O.R.E Business Mentors Client of the Year award. Polly
The first associate who joined the EV team, Polly graduated with a degree in Music Performance from Northern Kentucky University and was also the concertmaster of NKU Philharmonic. She’s toured in Ireland, Hungary, Romania, and the Netherlands. Fun fact: Polly and her husband are avid backpackers and are raising two young daughters! Watch her playlist.
Abbie
A Cincinnati native, Abbie earned a degree in Violin Performance and Music Education at Miami University. She has lived in Nashville and Chicago where she performed with independent recording artists. Now “retired” from teaching orchestra, she stays busy with her four kids. Fun fact: Abbie bakes cakes for special events and loves yoga! Watch her perform here.
Muning
Originally from Beijing, Muning (“moo-NEENG”) grew up in a musical family. She is completing her doctorate studies in music. In addition to violin, she plays viola, piano and also studies conducting. She’s performed with orchestras in Australia, Austria, and Ireland. Fun fact: Muning teaches private lessons and is a pet lover! See her perform here.
Julia
Originally from Pittsburgh, Julia holds Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Violin Performance performs regularly with professional orchestras in Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, and West Virginia. Fun fact: Julia loves to sew and spend time outdoors! She and her husband (also a musician) adore their two cats, Luna and Tala. Videos coming soon.
Marissa
A Lexington, KY native, Marissa began learning to play the violin at age six. She studied Violin Performance and Arts Administration at the University of Kentucky. For several years she worked with world-class musicians in the artistic department of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra. Fun fact: Marissa is tying the knot in 2025! Listen here.
Mikayla
Mikayla grew up in a musical family and began playing the violin at age 11. She studied music in college, where she focused on performance and teaching and now runs a private violin studio for aspiring violinists. She is also an active member of the Mason Symphony Orchestra. Ashley
Ashley is an accomplished classical and bluegrass violinist based in Wake Forest, NC. She’s performed in prestigious competitions and concerts and has even played with Josh Groban and Andrea Bocelli. Throughout the year she can be seen in the North Carolina Opera, Ballet, and Symphony. Fun fact: Ashley is a mom of five and violin teacher! Watch her latest videos.
Christina
Christina began learning the violin at age five. She studied violin at both the undergrad and graduate levels at East Carolina University in violin. Many Triangle families know her as their violin teacher. Fun fact: Christina is a mom of two and enjoys playing board games like Sushi Go and Catan with her friends and family! Angela
With a Bachelors and Masters degree in Violin Performance, Angela has taught violin at the collegiate level and privately. She has performed with stars like Kanye West and Michael Bublé and can also be seen performing with the NC Symphony, Ballet, and Opera. Fun fact: she has played at The Academy Awards, Grammys, and more! Check out her talent.
Anne
Starting at the age of three, Anne began learning the violin. She is originally from California where she got her bachelors in violin performance. She toured with Chicago the Musical in South Korea. She is available to perform as a Strolling Violinist for an upgrade. Fun fact: She loves playing video games, hiking, swimming, and her three cats. See her perform.
Craig
A graduate of the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, Craig is not only an accomplished violinist but also an active composer, pianist, vocalist, and music educator. In recent years he’s received grants and commissions for his work. Fun fact: Craig is a competitive swimmer and enjoys backpacking with his family and friends. Listen to his live performances.
Patricia
Patrica studied violin at both the college and Master’s level. She has decades of experience performing with orchestras and also teaches aspiring violinists out of her home. She’s the proud mom of two children who are also accomplished musicians. In her spare time as an empty nester, she enjoys going to the gym and performing recitals. Listen to Patricia perform.

A North Carolina native, Ashley grew up playing clarinet and graduated from UNC Chapel Hill. She lives with her husband & three children in Wake Forest, NC and formerly worked as an elementary teacher. Fun fact: Ashley & Lindsay have been friends for over 25 years and attended middle and high school together!
Katrina
Production Assistant
Katrina has had a lifelong love of music enriched by years of piano and guitar lessons. She lives in Wake Forest, NC with her family and has a background in event coordinating, A/V, photography and customer support. Fun fact: You can often find her outdoors with her two daughters either at the lake or working in the garden.
